Big score, I have to tell my friends at CB.

I walked into my local gun shop on Tuesday to get some reading material. He has an old collection of Handloader magazines that he is kind enough to lend out to customers(you would never get that kind of service at DICKS Sporting Goods). Back in the far corner I notice a very large cardboard box with powder and shot bottles protruding over the top of the box. I'm not real heavy into shotshell reloading, I have a Lee Loadall in 12 gauge, but this requires a closer look. I glance into the box and see two presses a MEC which I'm familiar with and a Ponsness-Warren which I've heard of but never saw in person. I asked Rob ( the shop owner ) whats up with the reloading equipment. He tells me some guy had come in and left it there for sale. He also said he hadn't really looked at it and didn't know what condition it was in, but the guy was asking $100.00. I went over to the box and checked it out as thoroughly as I could with my limited knowledge of shotshell reloading, made a snap decision and bought it. Only after I got home and unpacked the box consulted some references and phoned MEC and Ponsness did I realize my good fortune. I have a complete and well maintained Ponsness=Warren Duo-matic 375 with complete die sets and all accessories to reload 12, 20, and .410 shells on a 10 station press. A complete MEC 400 set up to reload 12 gauge. An older Redding Bench Rest powder measure. A Bonanza Bullseye powder measure, A shotshell roll crimper, large quantities of powder and shot bushings for each press and other accessories and doodads to numerous to list. My hobby is about to expand to new horizons. I was so excited about thi score that I babbled on to my wife about it, she said "Thats nice Honey". So I thought I would share it with men who could appreciate it. Life is good.

More stuff? (sigh) Mine has been saying that for 30 years. Never complains though so I count myself lucky. Great find, we all deserve a score like that every now and then.

That is the sort of thing I describe to my wife as "another once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

Good on you! I'm fortunate that my wife doesn't care what gun stuff I buy. The tractors and bulldozers and other "stuff" I drag home, that she minds since it winds up in front of the garage for months and months and months and .....

Youall havn't learned the way to hoodwink the wimmen folk! In the above case you should have said Look what I bought for us honey! Now I can get you a new 20 Guage or 410 shotgun so WE can go shooting together. I STILL get the "that's Nice" but when you bring a new gun home you can at least say you got it for HER.

Heck, you guys are lucky. All I ever get is "what another one?) and "when are you going to shoot the last one you got?.) So I sorta get a stupid grin on my face and walk away. Still married after 26 years though. Frank

MTgianni and corvette you guys think just like me. The only scattergun I own is a trusty old Mossberg 500. I'll put myself to sleep tonight counting all the pretty new shotguns I now "have to have". Theres no cure for our condition.

Like Patrick McManus said, Wives need to understand that men need more stuff to go with their stuff!
    Good score!
