    30/30 Revelation????

    Hey Guys,
I just found a rifle marked Revelation (Savage 340) that I might
be able to buy from the guy. It needs alot of TLC as its pretty
dirty and the stock needs to be refinished which I don't mind as
it gives me something to do on these cold winter months.
What I need to know, is what would be a ball park amount of
    money for this rifle?
    Thanks,
    Denny

I just sold one in good shape and with a scope for $200. I would say it was worth all that and more.

Magazines were hard to find but someone may be making them now. 30-30 was the commonest caliber then 222 I believe. If it is one of those scopeless and in rough shape $150 may be my top end.

Last week I purchased a Model 325 Stevens with the spoon bolt handle in very good condition for $175. We will see how 311413 works in it. Neil

Today I bought a Stevens 325B with no rear sight for $100. Just happen to have a rear sight from my 340 as I put a receiver sight on it. This one is about 80% and missing the hole plugs for the scope mount which I also have a scope mount also. This is for my 4 MO old GreatGrand son. This was from my favorite pawn shop. Mark

I hit on a 222 revelation about 10 years ago, its death on crows out to further than I want to walk. picked it up at a pawn shop for $150 in about new condition with a simmons scope.
Had a 340 in 30-30 that I wish i still had---note to self do not forget to kick self in backside.
