    30-40 Krag load data

    Are there any shooters out there using 300MP or Varget for their 30-40 Krag cast bullet loads?
    Any help would be great

    311284 over 28 grains of varget gives about 1650 ft/sec.

    I've started using 34grs of Varget with the Lee C309150F (30-40Krag) but I haven't given them a good test yet.

    My best .30-40 Krag load with cast boolits is 32 gr. Varget under a gas checked 311299. Not in a bolt gun - single shot Stevens 44 1/2 barrel.

    I have got test loads built for 4 30-40 's IMR4198, IMR 4350, IMR 4064 ,Varget i- 1894 Krag 2- 1898 Krags 1- 1895 Winchester using 311413, 311466, C-309-180 gc cast and 165 gr jacketed round nose 124 rounds total to test. Just love that old Krag round never failed to drop anything I have shot with it.
