    DZ 22lr Hepburn

Had my second range trip for the DZ 22lr Hepburn. I had it built for 22lr BPCR Sillhouette. The scope is a DZ 8x. Wood from Cecil Freddi.

I have been shooting CCI standard @ 25 and 50 yds. They are tight in the chamber and really engrave the bullet. Its shooting great with this cheap ammo. I bought a pile of Eley for shooting out to 200 but have not shot any yet.

Im having so much fun with this one Im going to send an original Hepburn to be rebarrelled to 22lr. It will be an open shght gun.

Very nice rifle. That wood is fantastic!

I don't have any Hepburns, but I do have a couple of his scopes and I like them a lot.

I've heard nothing but great reports about DZ firearms, and yours looks to be another great one!
I've always stayed away from the expensive .22 target ammo as I was afraid it would shoot so good I'd get hooked on the good stuff!
I've used some less expensive target ammo in my Badger barreled Cody Ballard with a match chamber, and it does shoot slightly better than CCI std. velocity. But haven't tried it at 200 yds. to see if it would be even better?

The DZ is impressive. The inletting looks perfect. Im very happy with everything about the gun. I had ask for advice about the grip. It is very comfortable.

I shoot some good match 22lr in my Vudoo. When you get past 100yds it really starts to make a difference.

You may want to try .22 Lapua ammo in your rifle. My DZ .22 likes SK Wolf Match Midas+ etc. As long as it is made by Lapua. Just food for thought.
