We are seeing shooters lookin for 250 Sav. brass I have tried several different parent brass in my search.
I have settled on 1 as the easiest. It is the 6.5 Creed. One pass and you are done. Slight trimming only.

Heck yeah, buy the 6.5 ammo, pull and sell the bullets and reuse the primers after sizing the brass. That's the sound of a cat being skinned......

Yes, I know in a pinch 250 can be made from 6.5 or 22-250 but I much prefer the correct headstamp. If I became desperate, 6.5 would do the trick.
One benefit doing this would allow you to use small rifle primers if you chose to. This looks like a rabbit hole to go down in my .250 AI........

Howdy !
Might be a bit salty, but Lapua SR primed .22-250 brass could be necked back up to the original .25" calibre.

Yes that will work. Since the 250 was the parent case for the 22-250 it takes it back to the roots. The Creed brass is more likely
To be found in my area, sometimes even on the ground at the range. Well before all of this craziness hit the world.
And thick necks too.
I have a 6.5-250 Savage, based on a 250-3000.
Ever hear of that one?
I have many 22-250's that were made out of 250's and have shot them for years.
To any of you guys that are thinking about forming .3006 to .250 Savage or .22-250 Remington: I have done it once.
Setting the shoulder back isn't too hard, and squeezing the neck isn't difficult either.
The hard part is forming the taper from base to shoulder. If you do attempt this, I recommend that you make sure your bench is solid, and secured to the wall of floor. A cheater pipe on the handle of the press is not out of line either.
I used an RCBS Rockchucker press, and it was about all my bench could take to stay on the floor.
I have to think using the 6.5 Creedmoor as a donor would be almost as bad. Not as much trimming though.
If you plan to do more than a box or two, a forming die might be a wise investment.

I'd use 25 or 6mm Creedmoor brass instead would be closer to desired end result.
I got this at a gun show years ago and use it to form 22-250 brass out of anything with a standard base diameter. The last batch I made was out of 270 Win. brass someone gave me. I don't have to use any excess pressure in any of the stages and it necks down the cases just as though I was reloading a fired case in a full length die.
Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway!
Men who don't understand women fall into two categories: bachelors and husbands!
back in the day when there no 6.5CM brass, i'd take a 22-250 case and put it thru the 6.5CM die and i have a little short 6.5CM.
