My small bore black powder shooting resulted in lighter charges than most. Most of my experience is with a .36 and found 20gr 3f to be perfect. Seemed I got critiqued a lot for not upping it to 40gr or more. My eyes were only good enough to head shoot squirrels to 20 yards or so, so how much powder would you need. Accuracy wise, all balls would touch at that range.
How meaningful can you be, there is only so much to say before you are talking too much.
My .32 Cal. CVA short 24" Squirrel rifle shoots <half dollar sized groups dead on at 25 yards using 18-20gr. of my home made 3FG under a .315 ball sitting on a lubed patch. Very repeatable groups and good enough for a squirrels head.

Pretty much the same here. I built a custom flintlock on a GM .32 Barrel It was ok accurate but it had to be swabbed between every shot ! I sent it to Bobby Hoyt to recut it to 40 cal . Then it became a real shooter! and did not need too much cleaning between shots! Excellent squirrel gun and that caliber is inherently accurate

I have only shot at most 15-20 shots with either of my GM 32 barrels but I have never cleaned between shots. The first load on a clean barrel is a bit easier than following shots but but not much. I use moose milk as a patch lube.
fiberoptic, that is a great site, thank's.

Back when I started shooting .32 Caliber the only mold I could find was a LEE .308 diameter round ball.
I just played around with different patches until I found one which was a good seat.
Has been working fine for over 35 years in both my CVA Squirrel Rifle and my Pedersoli Pennsylvania.

HamGunner, that is amazing!
Don't know if this will help but here goes. I owned a .32 percussion for years and also have a .32 flintlock. The only .32 mold I ever had is a Lee .311". It was very accurate in the percussion and also the flintlock. 20 to 30 grains of 3F works in both and a ticking patch worked for the percussion but the flintlock needed a .023" patch. All my powder is 3F and that's what I use. 2F might do as well or maybe better but I just don't have any.
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.
I bought a little 32 wesson copy for my daughter ages ago - most at the time (CVA squirrel gun etc) needed a molded ball - we searched around and got this one because it would take buckshot straight from the can - its shallow rifled and needs a thin patch, japara was ideal - the load is real tight - its deadly accurate to 50 yards - uses a 32/20 case full of FFFg.
You just described me to a "T". I played with a couple 32's and they were fine. I settled on the 36 cal. 35 years ago simply because I like it better. I'd catch a little flack because I didn't use at least 30 grs. but, even 20 grs. is pretty destructive if you don't head shoot. Lots of folks pooh-pooh the front legs and ribs but, the front legs are my favorite and the wife is one of those "boney piece" eaters so she likes the ribs.
