I have a set of faux mother of pearl grips that are made of acrylic. They feel too thick. Can this stuff be worked like faux ivory? As in can it be sanded, filed, buffed out the same?
Thanks

I don't think so - most likely the exterior marbling will be drastically altered.
Maybe the inside flats can be sanded to reduce the thickness, but at the cost of losing the fit of the edges to the grip frame contours - unless the grips already cover the grip backstrap.
Now I lay me down to sleep
A gun beside me is what I keep
If I awake, and you're inside
The coroner's van is your next ride
