    Up Date

Yesterday the wife and I took our youngest to the neurologist for his followup. We were there for about 4 hours, and he came back with pretty much a clean bill of health. The fracture is starting to heal and it didn't go all the way through the bone. He can also start wearing his neck brace less and less, as the muscle and soft tissue in his neck has healed enough that it should no longer start to swell with use. In a couple of weeks he will be as good as new.

The wife and I thank each and everyone of you for your prayers and well wishes. I am so thankful that I was able to get acquainted with such a wonderful group of people, and may the Good Lord bless you all.

Best wishes from the Boer Ranch,

    Joe

God Bless your family Boerrancher, I'm glad he's going to be OK. My little 18 month old grandaughter broke her arm on Monday and that broke my heart. Its heart rending to see the little ones hurt.

My prayers go out to you and your family hoping for the best. Nothing hurts more than seeing our children get hurt.
Go ahead and run. You will only die tired

Joe and your family will be in my prayers.
the wife and I have had some interesting moments with the kids but so far nothing like that. My handicap 18 year old fell last week and hit his head and needed stapling but that was no big deal.
Our most stressing event of the last year was when I found our 13 year old handicap daughter dead in her bed. Now that was stressful because here in NM all deaths in the home are listed as homicides until all the investigation is done and since I found her it was me that was in the hot seat. A friend in my shooting club was the first on the scene and since he was the deputy sheriff I calmed down some and he took care of the rest and I just went numb for months as that is the last thing I wanted to do. We expected to loose her because she had been going down hill for over a year but figured it would be on one of her many trips to the hospital. Well she had other ideas and that was her way to leave and Dad will just have to accept it
Again glad to hear that you are all doing well. As to the being on the mend from your time with the Army. Take it slow, never give up and realize you did the right thing and some like me are very proud you stood up for America. Just another DAV Army person, my time goes back to the Viet Nam time and I never refused to do as my country asked and I have the nightmares to prove it. No medals they mean nothing to me and nothing in my records as I was in a position to white wash them because of the fact I was on paper an Army Reservists so you know we did nothing for the country. Sometimes wished I had left all the info in the files but what good would it have done. Basically none and that is one of the reasons I white washed it all to look just like all the others in my unit plane Jane boring.

Standup if you can and salute that flag every chance you get and if a tear falls let it you earned the right to cry when it goes by as your blood is there in the red on the flag just like mine and a cousin of mine that died over there. After 38 years I finally got his memorial baclet and it stay on my arm as long as I am alive.
I wear another one for everyone who is fighting now in war in Iraq as Afghanistan hadn't started when I got it but I do think about what you and those still fighting deal with every day.
time to shut up as I can't see the dam page anymore. Flashbacks worst thing to deal with but kids are the best to help you out of them.
may the good lord watch over you and yours and bless you with peace and a good life

    shdwlker ,
May GOD comfort you and your family. Loosing a loved one is tough. Remember GOD takes care of his children and they LIVE with him for eternity.

Thankfully, my experience with kids in my ER is that they get sicker faster than adults and recover just as quickly.

Please accept my prayers (an extra thought goes to you and yours at worship tomorrow) and my best wishes to you and yours.

Prayers sent for you and yours. I'm sure glad your son's doing OK! When I first started reading your post, I'd already started speaking to the Big Guy!

Women really are what hold our society together. If it wasn't for them, we'd all be walking around unshowered, living on beer and pizza, and spending all our time shooting, hunting, and fishing. Just kidding- I've got an Angel, too. As a matter of fact- that's what I call her- "Angel."

Thanks for your service to freedom around the world!

This sounds like my life. Is there a down side?

Got an update on the youngster, Joe?
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

Thanks again everyone. The little guy is doing good. His still holds his neck a bit crooked form time to time when he starts getting tired, but other than that he is once again the same precocious three year old he was before he got hurt. Take care all, thank you and God Bless.

Best wishes from the Boer Ranch,
