Outside Diameter of Magtech 28 Gauge Brass

    Howdy
Bought a 1865 Rim Fire Trapdoor and will need to make brass. 28 gauge looks to be the nearest but would like to know for sure the outside diameter before buying a box.
    Thank you !

Thank you !! I appreciate your taking the time to measure this.
Wanted to verify that OD at the head and rim before buying a box to alter to rim-fire.

Taking a wild guess here, but most likely an austrian Wanzl, a breechloader conversion of the austrian Lorenz percussion rifled muskets.

I cannot provide case dimensions since I´m still looking for them (24 and 28 ga brass cases are hard to find) but if that´s your rifle then 28 ga. are the proper ones for the 14x33R cartridge. A .54 cal. minié should work OK, too.
