    Texas Gulf Coast Weather

Normal temperatures along the Texas Gulf Coast without the passage of a cold front are very mild. This year has been exceptionally mild with only one dip to 40° so far and many days a little warmer than average. This coming Saturday, New Year's Day. the forecast is for a high of 82° with a heat index of 84°. Winter arrives overnight. That will make for nice weather to prepare to keep the plants from freezing the next two nights.

Sorry, don't feel too sorry for you. -4 here this morning, tomorrow -22.
I truly believe we need to get back to basics.

    Get right with the Lord.
    Get back to the land.
Get back to thinking like our forefathers thought.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you
and give you His peace. Let all of the earth – all of His creation – worship and praise His name! Make His
    praise glorious!

And THAT is why I chose to live where I do. It was cold enough where I lived in New Mexico with it hitting 15-20 degrees almost every night in the winter.

It's been 80-ish today and all this week, and about 70 at night.
However, it's supposed to freeze & rain tonight and be around 40 for tomorrow's high.

A couple weeks ago, we ran the AC during the day, and the heater at night.
    That's winter in Texas.......

Upstate NY in the Adirondacks we should be seeing nights in the teens and days just under freezing. Today it was 40 and raining with a forecast of rain the next two days. The lakes are not frozen yet and normally I am out ice fishing already. Not going to happen anytime soon. Jet stream has changed for sure. It is dipping down deeper in the south and dragging up the warm moist air with it. I do not mind winter but frost in the ground and rain does not mix well. Glad to hear Texas is nice and warm. You guys have been though a lot the last year weather wise.

Yikes. But than again I grew up where 30 below was not uncommon. That's why I live in the White Mountains of Eastern Arizona where getting down to zero is about it and doesn't get that low very often.
