I think the clerk at that shop forgot to put the "1" at the start of the price, for a price of $1,350. At least that is close to what those are bringing in my area. Terrific find, congratulations.

I picked up 300wm #1 at a Gander mtn in Pittsburgh about 18 years ago for $450 with a 6-18x redfield scope. I don't shoot it much, I bought it because it was a good price at the time. I would rather have a more shooter friendly version with iron sights.

Bought a 300 WM #1 for cheap back a couple of Shows ago, it did not have a good barrel, it had been abused, I figure since I have two brand new 1-10 twist 30-06, take off barrels, all I need to make a cast shooter out of it is to change out the extractor, glass bed and free float the hanger/ for-end, do a hand tight on the rib, separate the frame and end of rib, a hair, takes longer to describe than to do, should shoot the 200 gr RCBS like it was made for it. ha,.
