    Beagling molds???

    How exactly do you "beagle" a mold? I would like to increase the size of a Lee .457 diameter mold to .470 for use in my 577-.450 Martini- Henry rifle[ I realize it's an older rifle , but it is military] I didn't want to ask the black powder cartridge folks because I shoot only smokeless in my Martini and Trapdoor Springfield.

    The 477-450 is not a .470 bore, its a .458 I believe, they transposed the numbers over on the rock. The Lee mold you have should work, the "beagling" process wouldn't work to open a mold that far anyway.
