    First time for me!

I decided to finally mount a scope on my 1894CS. The sights are getting harder to deal with.

I found a Leupold M82.5X Compact for sale. I mounted it on my rifle and of course it started raining here finally. I felt cooped up and couldn't take it any longer so I went to my local indoor range. It has a max distance of 25 yards but I thought that I could at least get it on paper and also get in some trigger time until the rain stops.

My first three shots all went into the same hole and was perfectly centered on the sticker I was aiming at. I have never had this happen to me before. Maybe it's an omen.

Zeroed at 25 is zeroed at 100, if you can hold that steady. I never can. Very nice, it's always good when you find the nut.

Yeah neither can I. The iron sights were starting to get fuzzy so to get my accuracy back I finally broke down and put a scope on it.

Hopefully next week it will be dry enough to try it outside at 100 yards.

    Thanks fellas.

Well, I guess I should have stayed. But the rifle was zero'ed and it being a rainy day the range was packed and had a waiting list to get a lane.

I will post an update when I get to shoot it at 100 yards.

Very nice. Looking forward to a range update at 100 yards.

    If a 41 won't stop it, I wouldn't bet my life on a 44.
