    45 Colt WFN Seating Depth?

Going to be loading up some 265 Cast Performance WFNs for the 45 colt (revolver). It’s not an overly long bullet compared to the 300 and 335gr so my gut was to replicate my 300 XTP oal of 1.65. I’ve heard anecdotal rumblings that these types of bullets should be left a little long. Anyone have first-hand feedback to share? Going to start with 15gr of 2400 and move up from there. Thanks

Edit... gun is a 454 and I’m working into the 20k psi band FYI

Seat to the crimp groove and work up your loads looking for appropriate velocities for given powder/bullet combination.
