    Need info on a 4 inch S&W 629

Seen at my local gun store in the consignment case a 4 inch 629. On side of barrel it was marked Ranger. Any info and what would be a decent price would be appreciated.

Did you note what - number it was...629-3, 629-7.....

Did it have the IL hole over the cylinder release?

What side of the barrel was RANGER imprinted? And what was on the other side of the barrel?

Was it a full underlug barrel or standard?

    Great find!!

I'm looking in the Standard Catalog of S&W and don't see it... Wish that picture of the label was clearer so I could see the Product Code...

Looking again...may be 163413..there is a 411 and 417 but nothing in between..

    Looks like a 629-6 made about 2003...

    Seek and ye shall find...

Just about all S&W N frames in hi condition are going for $1k and up. Even m28s. M58 are crazy money.

629's out in Washington state are going for $800 to $1200 depending on dash series and condition.
It's all chicken, even the beak!
