    I'm thinking holster. I think...

    Sometime ago I seen a holster that was made for autos or revolvers that was harnessed so that the rig positioned between the naval and the solarplex.
    The holster was made of a ballistic nylon, had a rectangular backing pad and allowed for the carry of the arm and mulitple magazines or speed loaders. It too had a little extra space to contain a few incidentals. IIRC these are in favor with our troops. Does anyone recall what I am referring to?

    Could it be that the holster was not equipped with a belt loop or hooks for a web belt? Did it just have a slit intended to be hung on a tropper's belly button?

    The one I saw was carried by a Marine, but it was probably a 'naval' issue item...
