Three rifles for sale. Auction style.

I have no way to know their value, so, auction. I know some here don't like auctions, sorry. This auction runs from now to the same time next Thursday (3/11). Post questions & bids here please. I'll announce the winner here. The rifles will ship from an individual to your FFL. Please make sure your FFL is cool with that. I can do FFL to FFL but it's more of a hassle, adds $20. Shipping is on me, USPS. Payment is by USPS money order only unless I know you. If it has to be by check then I'll have to hold it, blah, blah.

    1. 03A3 Sedgley in .257 Roberts. Twenty inch barrel and it's got a very pretty bore. Please start at $100.

    2. Ishapur (Ishapore) Enfield in 7.62x51 (.308). This is a 2A, I believe. Bore is good, strong rifling but it's not perfect, as one would expect. Un-altered from issue condition with it's seventeen foot barrel. Please start at $100.

    3. Swiss 93 in 6.5x55. This is also un-altered condition. Bore is quite nice. I have 36 rounds of Winchester and 5 Win fired cases that will go with the rifle, packed separately though. I'll have to put the pics in the next post, hang on. Please start at $100.

    Thanks for looking.

Can you clarify on #3 please? More pics would help. From what's posted, it appears to be a Swedish M96 that has be arsenal modified to the M38 carbine configuration.

Uhh, #1 isn't an 03A3. It's most likely a low numbered '03 which dominated Sedgley's production which was in the 20's-30's long before the 03A3 intro. It does have a WWII-era Smith-Corona 03A3 bolt retro-fitted to it.

NikA is correct, the Swedes produced their military rifles in 6.5x55, the Swiss introduced the 7.5x55 with their Model 1889 rifle.

Regarding #1, one picture shows the bridge/top of action not drilled. Other pictures show Weaver style bases. What gives?

Oh the shame and embarrassments! You guys have exposed me to the world.

The first pic for the Sedgley was actually a pic of the Swiss/Swede action. I've moved it in with the S/S group. Does that help NikA? I don't know a Swiss from a Swede, obviously. It will chamber a 6.5x55 from the mag, though I haven't fired it.

The Sedgley is indeed an 03, not a 03A3.

I apologize for my mistakes, I promise I'll never make another as long as I live.

In light of my mistakes anyone can withdraw or change their bids made so far.

Yep, that helps a lot. That's a Swedish M38 carbine manufactured by Husqvarna. Bolt is correct for that model as well (converted M96s have a straight bolt, new manufactured M38s have the bent bolt).

Thank you for the additional info.

The big confusion for me is that a Swiss M93 is a quite rare carbine variation (Mannlicher vs Rubin straight-pull system).
