Carburetor success

Filled the bowl with B12 and left it overnight. That stuff is HUNGRY! It ate most of the gunk off. Brass brush and 5 ought steel woo did the rest. B 12 will eat nitrile gloves, the color off screw driver handles, and skin. Cleaned out the jets put it back on the engine and IT RAN!

Polaris 300 xpress that hadn't run in at least 8 years and probably more. We drove it around the farm. Total cash utlay was $10 for a new ignition switch and another $15 or so for chemicals.

B12 is the real deal. There is no other carb cleaner on the market that comes even close. It sure does open your eyes when it melts stuff.

When it gets in a cut, accidental or otherwise, I call it the "Chemtool Dance"!!! Had a cut on the hand and it was full of dirt/grease/oil and really needed to be cleaned out. Grabbed a can of chemtool B12 and sprayed!!! Cried and danced, but it cleaned the cut and it eventually healed just fine. I am sure it sterilized the cut too!! Not for the faint of heart!!

I toss carbs in the ultrasonic - if they are really gummed up I fill a pyrex beaker with solvent and the carb and put that in the cleaner (saves solvent and reduces the amount of evaporation)

I am gonna have to go some myself. My son has a bicycle with a motor on it that the carb is all gunked up. Will give the B12 a try on that.

Tis good stuff! It was my dad's go-to for engine problems for most of my adult life. I run a can through my vehicles about quarterly. Price is going up, of course. Last can I bought was $3, and now it's upwards of $4. Still worth it, IMO.

I wonder . . . Will it work as a penetrating oil for rusted bolts? Those that even Kroil didn't help.

I doubt it.
At least I've never had much luck with it for that.

If penetrating oil doesn't work by itself, sometimes using it and heating the part will get something loose.
Not always red hot, just where its about too hot to hold.

ATF and Acetone 50/50 beat All the commercial penetrating oils in tests.

I have had at least 1 can of B12 in my inventory for the last 50 years.

Wear safety glasses! Was spraying out a small engine bowl once and the stream rounded the bowl and came right back in my eyes. Worst part is it burns worse when you open your eyes, but it won't evaporate if they are closed. Honestly thought I might have blinded myself for a minute there.
