    Sometimes it pays to ask

Was in a gun shop last week and saw they had a very good selection of powders, at "normal" pre-panic prices. When I set two cans of Varget on the counter, I asked if they had any SR-4759 (haha!). "Just a minute, I'll go check." Then, "Yep. two one pound cans. Ya want 'em? $26/can."

I grinned the whole way home.

I haven't seen a can of 4759 in a gun store in several years. Good on you.

I've got 5.5 pounds of SR-4759 out here in Arizona, nobody wants them at $30/pound. Tried selling them here first, then Armslist. Only taker was a guy who wanted to try it in 300 win mag jacketed loads. Made me nervous as it didn't sound like he knew what he was doing.
Anyway, just thought I'd chime in. If anyone in Tucson or Phoenix can use it, I'd like to get rid of it. 5 pounds sealed, 1/2 pound in opened container. Always stored indoors in temperature and humidity controlled conditions.

I would be interested in the SR-4759 for cast rifle loads, but I'm up in Flagstaff.

I bought two 8lb jugs once I heard it was going to be discontinued. I still have one unopened and the other has around 5lbs in it.
