WTB 9.3x57 components and dies

A good friend just picked up a 9.3x57 and asked for my help getting ammo togerher.

I am looking for dies, brass, jacketed or cast boolits.

Loaded ammo is nice also if we can navigate the shipping.

Let me know what you have and try to make a deal.

I fire formed 8x57 and used a scribe to wipe out the 8 in the headstamp. Not like someone is going to manage to chamber a 9.3 in an 8 rifle (OK someone with arms like Popeye's probably could after eating a can of spinach). It's a shame x57 cases aren't available while x62 is somewhat common.

Hornady 2 die set is available < $50.00. Cast boolits and jacketed are out there with a weight range of 232 to about 290.

Good luck finding someone who has sold (or is selling) their 9.3x57 and still has the reloading stuff.

Just a note of caution, my Hornaday die set in my estimation excessively sizes the neck. As in over .020". Have to size one without the expander in the die to check this. My concern is brass life (9.3x57 is expensive brass). Sadly, the Hornaday dies are about 1/4 the cost of RCBS when new.

I have a set of Hornady 9.3x57 dies as well and don't recall having the over sizing issue reported earlier.
The 9.3mm 270 Speer is a nice soft bullet that expands well at 9.3x57 velocities, but goes to pieces on game when launched by my 9.3x62 velocities.

Glad to hear the oversizeing issue is not universal. Hornady seems to be the only available option these days.
