    Thank you kindly It took a long time but it was worth the wait - I had planned to shoot it immediately but everyone and their dog is out for a Sunday drive, so it slowed me down and there's not much time left at the local range now.

    37 months, since I got in line back in the pre-production days.

    No direct provision for red-dots specifically - the old-timers did work out methods to add scope-mounts, many of which were railed.

    I can see them wanting to keep the original appearance for aesthetic reasons but it could be pre-drilled & tapped for a rail, couldn’t it. Beautiful none the less.
