Just get a square reader. They are like 10 bucks, and they charge you 3% to use but you can take credit cards from anyone over the phone.

Actually you don’t even need to spend the 10 bucks on the card reader. You can just use the app for free, minus the 3% fee.

There's Venmo and Zelle, I've even been paid through Facebook, which surprised me. There's several others I can't think of. Zelle seems to work well.

I'm not sure about venmo but zelle isn't meant for the payment of goods and services its more for the friends and family kind of thing .

There's no recourse if you send someone money for a product or service and they don't deliver .

If you are planning on selling outside this site, I like the cc route. Didn't even know one was available like that. I know as a buyer there have been times if I could not use a cc for a larger dollar purchase I went elsewhere. Got burned once on gunbroker using the certified check. Never again.

I've used Zelle and like it. If you have a small community bank call and discuss I believe within a certain amount of monetary value they will back. First time I used it because you are dealing directly with your bank account I wanted peace of mind. I just remember our bank making me feel good about using it.

There are currently over 36,000 reloading related parts on ebay and who knows how many gun parts so there is no choice...pay pal.

I recommend that you do not use Square - they are criminals that will freeze all of your funds as soon as they realize that you have anything to do with firearms. I sell plastic primer catchers for reloading presses and they tried to keep about $2k from me because it is a "firearms related business". Had to take a lawyer to get my money from these scammers.

Remember that if someone pays you with a credit card they can contest the charge. By just notifying the card company and saying that the item wasn't as described or they didn't get the item or what ever they will get their money back and chances are you won't get the item back. The credit card company will side with the card holder every time. I will pay with a card but, can not and will not accept a credit card for payment. Beware guys.

    Just FYI...

Venmo is owned by same company that owns PayPal. Venmo's target is easy payments for cell users of Android phones. Its a competition answer to Apple Pay.

    What politics?

I've bought a lot of gun related items using them.

I can send money easily for a very modest fee. I don't understand people that think it should be free because it sure Beats the Hell out of Western Union.

I don't like how they treat sellers so I don't use them for sales.

    What politics?

I'm old school,, and do not use any form of payment for things other than cash, checks or money orders.
I also own a business,, providing services to my customers. Some of them want to use a credit card as they may live in another state or whatever.
I POLITELY inform that to help keep my overhead costs down,, I don't take credit cards,, due to the fees, AND the time it would take for my bookwork.
I know this isn't the type of answer you may be looking for,, but over the last 18 years of running my business,, I've had exactly (1) bad check. And I've had (2) people refuse to pay.
In ALL 3 cases,, the courts sided with me,, and I was paid in full, along with my fees.
The bad check; Filed charges,,, they paid in full including my fees prior to court.
One refusal; Filed charges, the customer met me at a Police station prior to court, and paid me and my fees in full.
One refusal; the customer actually hired a lawyer. I beat her in court, AND I didn't need a lawyer. I had all the proof, AND witnesses. Whipped her lawyer bad.

Nowadays,, using some form of electronic payment method is common,, and when you study it,, it's a way for banks, the IRS, and any other agency with a valid reason to track YOUR money AND your purchases.
My wife was a paralegal. When they had cases that money was involved,,,, they would subpoena bank records, financials, book keepers, etc & TRACK money on everything.
Lots of court cases where one party had TRIED to hide money etc.
I know many folks who have had their credit cards hacked & funds stolen. ALL because of using electronic methods of paying for stuff. I've never been hacked.
I do keep a credit card for reservations at motels & other such stuff. But I always pay in cash when I actually go & stay at a motel. I use a debit card for gas for my truck,, to keep track of expenses. But I rarely keep much in that single account to prevent theft.

Banks, the government, the IRS,, and such,, ALL want us to go to a cashless society.
    I resist.

It agree with Contender. For member to member deals, money order, cash or check . Unfortunately, PayPal is a necessary evil for places like eBay and some other online sites. If you are a commercial enterprise then using cc’s will definitely expand your business.

The person receiving money pays a fee of slightly less than 3% for a protected purchase, or no fee if money is sent as "friends and family". Friends and family transfers are not purchase protected, so if someone asks for money to be sent that way, I'm immediately suspicious.

As a buyer, I just bite the proverbial bullet and send slightly more than the desired amount to cover the fee to cover my back. However a seller asking you to do this is against PayPals user agreement, so they shouldn't do that either.

I don’t know how you have yours set up, but mine transfers money to my bank account every day if I have used it.

I recently used PayPal to buy a boolit mold off this site. Two days went by with my payment marked "pending" on my end. This morning it was marked "completed" and PayPal took money from my account. The seller of the mold still has the payment marked "pending " on his end. PayPal policy says they can hold money for up to 30 days while they "investigate". I'm done using PayPal. They are socialist crooks.

Using Pay Pal, never list what you are buying!! Just list your CB name and address (if you want)

    Other than paypal?????

When using PayPal for forum buys or gunbroker never list any info you don’t have to.

Use pm, email or phone calls to handle the details of the transaction.

There is also the option for the buyer to pay the fees so you can have some recourse if they back out but insist on F&F
