    Bismuth & Tin mostly
For some states this would work well

Only have a couple of guns I've shot slugs with, and never used anything other than Rem/Win Forster slugs. Have taken hogs and deer out to 80 yards with both....one shot and flop. Don't see the need for fancy with those things.

I have a savage 220 I bedded. I still have the target I shot at 100 yards with 3” accutips. All shoots touched. It was about a 3/4 group at max. I tried 5 different saboted slugs out of it. The worst group was 1 3/4” at 100 yards. I have about a case of 3” 20 gauge accutips for it. I should pawn that $1000 rig off as Iowa went to straight wall cartridges and I don’t hunt MN. I used it once and dropped 2 deer back to back like Thor’s hammer with it. It’s been collecting dust in my safe ever since.

Bismuth is problematic due to the crystalline nature. I have often wondered if a better lead free alloy could be made with more tin. I hated going to steel shot, expensive but not as much as tungsten shot. Copper rifle projectiles aren't cheap but do your part and you don't shoot that many. Copper sabot slugs might be an alternative but I prefer lead, it's a naturally occurring element and it's reported effect on wildlife is suspect.
