    Info on Rossi Mdl.#R-92/.454 Casull

I've asked about this once, but am new here and couldn't find any responses...I'm wanting to buy A Rossi Mdl#R-92 in .454 Casull as a companion to my Ruger Blk Hawk in .45 Colt. I plan to mostly shoot hot.45 Colts handloads in the .454 and wonder if any of ya'll have one and done the same. Do the shorter .45 rounds feed and cycle reliably in the .454? Thanks for the advice....Jim

I've never heard that they don't. Shouldn't be any different than .38 Specials in a .357 mag R92, or .44 Specials in a .44 mag. The cartridge stop stops the next round by the rim on the case head.

    .

    Welcome to the board !

I no longer have the gun, but the one I had cycled everything I fed it.

A friend of mine has one. Mainly loads and shoots 45 Colt "Cowboy" loads for use on indoor 25 and 50yd ranges but for hunting loads up "full house" 454 Casull loads.

Remember, if you do this, clean the chamber properply to make sure no build up from the shorter case in chamber which can spike pressure with the full length and full power loads.

You did get responses in the duplicate topic you started. Did you follow the link I posted? There are lots of Rossi experts there and many of them are from Texas like me.

Here is your other topic ---> http://castboolits.gunloads.com/show...-92-454-Casull

The most sensitive OAL rifle of the three that shoot two cartridges is the .357. Those have more trouble with .38 Special than the other two with .45 Colt and .44 Special.
