    Powder Valley delivers

Delivered just now from Powder Valley this 8 pound keg of 5744. Feel rather lucky that I was able to buy it. Next is to restock the diminished primer cache.

They're good to do business with. I've bought decent sized orders from them before, I live close enough to them that they would allow pick up saving me Hazmat shipping.

Measure it into primed cases, seat bullets on top of it and shoot it.

Seriously, it's a good cast bullet rifle powder, supposed to have taken the place of SR4759 but I haven't found it to be as good.

I have bought bullets from Powder Valley several times and have been checking the last few month about 2 or 3 time a week and all their powder have been showing as sold out. Makes me wonder how Dutchman got his powder. I am glad for him but curious. Dutchman must have just been on the site at the most opportune time. I sent PV an email asking about backordering and they said no. james

On MeWe a good fellow posted that Powder Valley had powder. My old fingers worked fast and saw they seemed to have only Accurate powders and most were "sold out" except AA#2 and 5744. I was going to buy two one pound canisters of 5744 but thought for a very fast second that 8 pounds would last me a long time and would load all my cast bullet rifle rounds from 6.5 Swede to 12,7mm Swede rolling block. So I bit my tongue and bought it.

Its an excellent powder for cast bullet rifle loads.

A week or 2 ago I was looking and they had about 90% of the Accurate brand powders available. They must have just gotten a shipment from them. The selection of everything else minimal at that time and primers of course.

Dutchman, You have faster finger than I do. I just happened to be on PV one day and I accidently ran into 4227 in stock. I needed some powder for my magnum pistols, so I decided after thinking about it for a minute or two, I placed an order in my shopping cart for 4 lbs and hit the check out page. By the time I got to the check out page, it was showing "sold out". I am getting old and sslowing down I guess. james
