    Question on Ar15 80% milling

    Just how deep should one mill out ar15 80% receivers. some web sites say 1.22 ?

    I try for 1.25" on the deepest section, and.650" on the shelf. I have some commercial lowers that are almost .010" deeper.

    Download Ray Vinn's book, it has all the measurements in there. I've finished quite a few 80% lowers and it's never let me down.

    When I brought search up the pdf was right there. Just type in Ray Vinn 80% lower and it should come up.
