Fairly confused about NOE sizer kits

I have been to the NOE site a number of times and then I have conducted "NOE sizer" searches trying to figure out what is what. The same pics appear for numerous items/pages but the description/s seem to provide little details or explanations.

    https://noebulletmolds.com/site/prod.../sizing-tools/

This is identified as a kit.
    https://noebulletmolds.com/site/prod...size-die-body/

then there is this which looks/sounds like a kit but not identified as a kit. It seems to have everything except a caliber specific bushing, (I think).
    https://noebulletmolds.com/site/prod...size-die-body/

And then there is this die body.
    https://noebulletmolds.com/site/shop...ment-die-body/

Can I assume the $50 kit has everything needed for a single caliber/size, minus the Lee red plastic bullet catch?
All that's needed for additional calibers and/or bullet sizes are the NOE sizer bushings and push rod (will the LEE bullet punch work?).

Since I have Lee bullet punches for my calibers and red boxes, it looks like the $50 kit plus $10 each for sizer bushings.(?)

Im glad you asked these questions. I have been wondering the same things. I have a couple of the Lee sizers, but am wondering if I might be better off switching to the NOE before I get in any deeper.

The kit has the holders and guide tubes.thenit has anadapter to use with nose punches so you can push bullet thru base first.I belive there is or was at one time a vidio on the NOE website showing the use of the kit.As for what else you need.there is the bullet pusher and yes the lee pusher will work.they come in several calibers.then there are the sizing bushings that come i a wide range of sizes.

i have used mine for several things.Sizing PC bullet was to be it main job and still is.i have used it in cases where i have a luble sized bullet that needs to be a bit smalller for a new to me gun or a friend that needs a smaller bullet than i shoot.Or mabe you had brain fade and put the wrong size bushing in either you lube size or the NOE itself you can fix these mistakes. You may have ordered a NOE bullet mold and it makes fat bullets so you size them before you pc them.I am sure there are other uses I have not run into yet.Bottom line is i use mine more than i thought i would.Once you bite the bullet ang get the kit the bushing are around 10 bucks each so in the long run they are cheeper than buying the lee sizer kits.Hope this helps just my thought on the NIE sizer.I like mine well made and not a bad price for what you get.

Mitch, thanks for the reply. I am already sold, but I can not make heads nor heels from the information provided on their web site. That or I'm just denser than dirt.

I was a bit confused too until I found a video on youtube. Start with the kit which will handle bullets from .22 thru .45 caliber, then add the body bushings and pushrod for whatever caliber you want to size. The bushings slip-fit into the bottom of the threaded die and are held in place with a set screw.

I remain confused about ordering his molds. Every mold I would want is sold out. when does he make new ones?

There are also nose bushings to size the nose on bore riders.

Jaysouth- Every mold that I would want is also sold out.

NOE is a small custom shop. He is constantly doing inventory runs but lists so many molds that he can't keep up with current demand.

The last I heard, NOE has a 14 week backlog of orders. I also believe they are running their production 24/7. It's a case of demand outstripping supply. You just have to take a deep breath and wait.

This man made a good video on using the NOE sizer.... https://youtu.be/XRoudK8THGM and yes, the push rod that you were using with a Lee sizer for example will work just as well with the NOE.

That 24/7 would concern me. Small shops are not typically run that way so it means their real talent gets spread thin...sometimes too thin?

These are not typical times....for anyone or any business. If the "normal" has not been replaced it soon will be. For how long or permanent no one can answer. There are a few other mold makers to consider also. I had Tom at Accurate make me one back in December and know for a fact his lead times/back log just doubled since then. Good luck and be patient!

When I was confused about exactly what to order I went to the NOE forums , described what mould I had and what I wanted to do/size to and asked for help ... Got several replies , even one from Al himself and very glad I did because I was going to order the wrong thing .

The website is a bit confusing ... so before you place an order , confirm what you are going to order is what you need at the NOE Forum General Heading / Questions - Problems or under the Casting and Reloading Heading ( I asked my question in both places ... and got answers) . Even as busy as things are there is usually a Moderator on the forum that can give you direction to what to order .

Al - the owner of NOE said they were 14 weeks out just to replenish inventory without getting any new orders.

Al - just bought a new machine and is looking at another one.

NOE has an adaptor so you can use their sizing bushings in the Lee APP press

These reloading-based companies have a quandary/problem! do they buy new equipment and put on more people only to have to get rid of them when things slow down and be stuck with the equipment they no longer need???

I wish I had bought the Noe’s kit first. I got all lee sizers and they work good. But the noe is less expensive in the long run.

I have a number of Lee sizers but not all that I need. most of those I do have do NOT size to the stamped size Nd often need to be opened up a bit. Heaven for bid you over do it, go order a whole new kit (I messed up one today!). Spending 10 bucks seems like a no brainer to me.

Pretty sure I fingered it out and I successfully ordered a few in stock sizer bushings and a couple case expanders. Unfortunately the Die Body Kit is on back order, as is the Lee Universal Expander Die. But I'm ok with that, at least it's back order and not out of stock. Just pleased I was able to order some new stock bushings before they sold out again. I really like the option of actually ordering sizes that match my various revolver cylinder dimensions. Way better than honing (or over honing ) a Lee sizer.
