My 218 Bee really shines with 11.5 grs. of IMR4198 pushing a NOE 45gr. gas checked WFN boolit using a 6 1/2 rem. primer.
IMR-4198 and the Krag are made for each other, with cast boolets. I even use it for 200 gr boolets. Lyman #3 has it listed to pretty high velocities but not for the 200 grs. They switch to way slower powders. I'm only trying for 1800 fps with the 314299's
Needed a powder for my new to me 7mm mauser and found that Hodgdon had imr4198 in stock yesterday. got 6 pounds coming, looks like it will work with my 223 also.

My favorite powder with the 45-70 and 7.62x39.
