    Pinned barrel wobble repair.

I have an old 22 revolver from Germany. It has a aluminum frame. There is some slight play in the barrel. Im thinking push the pin out. Degrease and use red loc-tite. Good idea or not?

I would measure it up and see how much room your working with. A good epoxy might be a better choice as it will fill the openings and make a 100% surface bond

There is a product called Fluid Weld that is used in cast iron cylinder head repairs, it will literally electro chemically bond dissimilar metals, it is BADDDDDD to the bone! I have used it putting threaded steel bearing retainers into aluminum hubs and I had to destroy the finished piece to get it out. Might be worth thinking about for your project..

    Go to cylinderheadsupply.com and search for Seal-Lock Fluid Weld - 2 oz Item# 30333 $29.75

I keep some in my shop all the time.
    Got a .22 .30 .32 .357 .38 .40 .41 .44 .45 .480 or .500 S&W cylinder that needs throats honed? 9mm, 10mm/40S&W, 45 ACP pistol barrel that won't "plunk" your handloads? 480 Ruger or 475 Linebaugh cylinder that needs the "step" reamed to 6° 30min chamfer? I repaired a RG .22 revolver with JB weld.
    The barrel was real wobbly.
I shot the revolver for 10 more years after the repair.
    Cheap gun.

Bend the pin and put it back in ! should clear up the problem!

High strength Loctite would be better than JB weld. I use loctite to hold barrel liners in and it has worked great for over 20 years.

Degrease and use red loc-tite. Its what Ruger uses to keep the 44 Redhawk barrels from coming loose.

The Ithaca slug guns barrel used it also. To remove , heat to 500 degrees.
