Wtb: .357 mold gas check base

Looking to buy a mold for .357 or 9mm that accepts a gas check. Not picky here. I have plenty of plain base molds but I want to do some gas check testing before I drop the $ on an noe gas check mold.

    Thanks.

What round are ya gonna load ???

For the life of me I can`t picture a single mold GC`ed to work in both 357mag & 9mm.

The first one to mind for the 357mag is the 358156 GC , but 9mm ???? the 156 will be a tad heavy & long in the case.

In all my shooting the 357mag I`ve went the other way , slow & heavy , NOE 180 rnfp& there version of the 358429 174gr. at 1k or so .

The 9 I can see the expense of a GC , most slide gun now require a pressure level beyond comfortable lead capacities unless ya harden em up to the point of price of J word bullets.

    Just my rambling thoughts ???

125 gr rnfp GC`ed maybe ??? good in the 9 OK plinkers in the 357 naked???

Again thoughts makin my fingers type!

Have some gas check molds I haven't been using. A: .358 125 gr Mountain Mold ogival flat point 2 cav. B: Lyman 358156 single cav altered to truncated cone. C: Lyman 358156 2 cav altered to truncated cone.
D: Lee C358 158 SWC 2 cav. E:Lee C358 180 6 cav. All with handles. Any of these intrest you? This is jus a quick post since I'm off to physical therapy appointment right now.

I`D LIKE TO SEE A PIC OF THE ALTERED 156 , IVE ALWAYS HAD A PROBLEM OF THE NOSES PEELING OFF OF THE HP VERSION.
& THOUGHT "WHAT IFIN THE OGLIVE BASE WAS WIDENED TO MATCH THE FRONT BAND ????

GP100man, here is a photo of the Lyman 358156 on the left and a Lee C358158 on the right. The aluminum Lee mold was easier to work than the Lyman iron mold. The mod did facilitate speed loading.

    Got back late.
Here are some photos of the 125 gr Mountain Mold seconds on the left and the Lee C358180 ready to load on the right.
Will get back to you tomorrow when I can get the molds out.

Thanks for the pic`s oso I can see where it would facilitate speed loading & give the HP version more support at a critical point in the oglive.
Should stabilize further as the pob is further forward!
