    ...and not the ones with the hinge at the end of the handles.

    If I understand you correctly you are looking for the scissor style not the older nut cracker handles.

    Yes, the nutcracker handles put the sprue plate too far out and it prevents me from getting the mold all the way under the spout. I can shove the mold in at an angle and it'll work but I'm tired of doing it that way (Lee 20 lb pot). I've turned the mold around so the end of the sprue plate is toward the handles but when I whack the sprue plate with my mallet, sometimes I whack the handle as well and it's damaging the wood. All of my other molds can be pushed straight back and filled without hitting the back support. I didn't have this problem with my old 10 lb pot.
