    Alloy lead suppliers

    Hey all. Somewhat new to the forums, been a lurker for a while now. I'm trying to find a trustworthy overseas supplier for lead alloy. Can someone throw some names at me please?

    why would you assume that?

    I do have first hand experience with the google search that found that source for you. $800 USD per ton, that's a sweet price.

    I scrounge locally for most all my Lead alloys, but some has been sourced from S&S.

    I assumed because I said trustworthy and was hoping to find someone with a history with one of these companies. I can find $400/ton lead on google but that doesn't mean they won't ship me a pallet of **** filled shoe boxes.

    Right now I would not buy anything shipped from China. The freight rate on the water is the highest it has ever been and stuff gets canceled at the blink of on an eye. ( 1st hand ) Maersk just had 50 containers go overboard. Your 1st load will be fine everything after that would be questionable. Are you looking for pure lead. Pure lead can be had in this Country $ .97 shipped but you have take a truck load. 48000 pounds.

    That would be the cheapest that I've seen it. I'm really looking for an alloy, in 20ton increments. I've emailed a couple of US based companies but haven't heard back yet. Edit: Btw, are you referring to Nathan Trotter?

    Just spoke with the foundry this was there response
    On the 6% Sb I have an alloy that ranges from 6-6.5% Sb and1.1- 1.5 ppm As in it, but it only has a .0003 ppm as for as Sn goes though

    No much tin JLMK

    I don't think Alibaba would never have gotten so successful if the sellers were not selling what they advertise
    why overseas?
    I tried to put together a bulk tin purchase out of Malaysia but the reality of the matter is that china pretty much has the market cornered on a lot of things, plus this Covid thing had put Malaysia on a military shutdown

    I'm sure there are lots of scammers there, just as there are on other platforms. I see they have a guarantee but who knows how long it would take or how many hoops you would have to jump through to get that kind of money back..was thinking china because I'm not paying 2.50-3 $ per pound of lead!
