    Cast boolits ID please

Ok you casting fools I need your help IDing these cast pills. Not sure where they came from, but I found them today in my bin I was cleaning out. All are 30cal boolits. These are the only ones I found. Thanks gents.
#1 is .80” long, plain base and weighs 132gr. was HPed after casting.
#2 is .785” long, GC and weighs 119gr
#3 is .915” long, GC and weighs 171gr
#4 is 1.00” long, GC and weighs 167gr
*weights are with my alloy so they can slightly heavier or lighter.

your # 1 looks like one from a group buy on this site years ago. it was in a 6 hole lee mold and with my alloy was 147 grains, i never found it real accurate at all so i put it away. recently i got interested in powder coating and used this mold in my K_31 with very good results i am glad to say powder coating was just the ticket. i hope you have that mold.....try it powder coated.

No, I don’t have any of the moulds. I can’t remember how I even came across these lol. I know I casted them cuz they were in my “casting bin” but have no idea regarding the moulds.

This is why when I buy pre-cast boolits from someone, I just melt them down and cast my own slugs for what I need! I never rely on someone else's castings

I have melted down probably 1,800+ pre-cast carp boolits and then made good quality castings with my own molds...........for my own guns.

    Works for me.

Good luck on your venture into the unknown.

Last on looks like a shortened version of the old Saeco/Redding RG4 gas checked bullet that weighs about 190-200 grs when cast of wheel weights with 2% tin. Frank

Banger, I casted these but I don’t recall the moulds. It was probably more than 10yrs ago when I casted these. Thanks for your insight though.

I know what you mean! I forget like that all the time. I try to mark my containers so I will know what I did years later!

    Still...................."stuff" happens!

    Good luck.
