Saving Lee mould Boxes

How many people save their Lee mould boxes? Especially, those from the ones that come with handles. I store my moulds in a big Tupperware container and not in their original boxes. I’m starting to have a lot of boxes. I break them down so they store flat. I don’t think I will ever sell any of my moulds, especially the Lees. With what I could get for them, I’d rather hang on to them, just in case I or a friend might need that boolit. So do I hang on to the boxes, or toss them?

I keep my 2c lee molds in the boxes, they stack cleanly

For storing lee moulds, the boxes are great. Shame I don't have boxes for the 3-4 used lee moulds I have. I find it convenient because lee didn't mark the bullet make on the mould for some years, so all you got is this number to go by.

I keep them. They are a great place to store...molds. I can look at the end labels and see what I have at a quick glance. I keep the 6-holer boxes too. I keep lots of boxes...

I keep my boxes also. I suppose it's so if I ever sell one I have the box to put it in, I'm not sure why I keep them. My wife thinks it's because I'm a Hoarder, but I don't agree.

I put them in the boxes when not in use. Easier to store, and with aluminum no need of any barrier materials to prevent corrosion.

Also, the identification data on the box (especially the picture) is quicker and easier for me to read than the alphanumeric on the mould blocks when I’m looking for something.

I wrap them in clear packing tape and store the mold in them. Takes up more room on the shelf but looks more organized and i can read end flap to see which mold it is.

I store the more frequently used ones in boxes on a shelf, the less frequently used ones fit nicely on end in plastic milk crates and live under a bench.
Never had a rust problem. If you are concerned you could lightly coat the steel parts ( already coat the sprue plate with synthetic 2 stroke oil additive when I cast )

All my Lee molds (2c and 6c) are stored in original boxes.

Aluminum is soft and easily dinged up on the edges. The boxes help with that and the other issues of stacking and identifying.
Wish I had the 6 or 8 that I'm missing.

I have all my Lee mold boxes around,too. Maybe 15 from the last 20 years.

I often wonder why I'm keeping them because they are empty on shelves...

Boxes full of boxes, a shelf dedicated to empty boxes, a ziploc bag full of small ziploc bags. They come in handy.

I put the moulds back in the box and stack the boxes on a shelf with the identifying flap out .
Protects the moulds and keeps them easily at hand and easy to find .
Repair boxes with wide clear packing tape when needed .

Other moulds with no boxes get put away in a tool box or three and I have to open each tool box and look at each one to find the one I want . I know there's a better way but us Pack Rats failed Organization 101 !

I don't have but 4 non lee moulds currently, so it's easy enough for me.

+1 on keeping the molds in the box. It's easy to ID and they stack nicely.

I keep all my Lee 2 cavity molds in their boxes, usually write the actual cast weight and diameter on the flap. Tim

I hate that these boxes won't hold dies with quick change bushings though, it would make things easier.

Why would you put dies , with or without quick change bushings , in a Lee boolit mould box?
