Savage 110 Parts

I have a Savage 110 in 222 Rem, it was built on the long action and is a blind magazine model, the magazine is fixed to the action and if I remove the metal plate that shortens the magazine it will be long enough to hold 308 win which is what I wish to convert it to. I have the barrel and nut but I will need a 308 bolt head and mag follower and spring to complete the conversion. Since it would appear that Savage have none of the parts I need and I can't find them in this Country, I would be grateful for any suggestions on where I might get these parts and a metal trigger guard to replace the plastic one. I understand I could sell this rifle and purchase one in 308, but this rifle belonged to a good mate, as many of my firearms did. I get great satisfaction from taking their arms hunting as they no longer can. Regards Stephen

The biggest problem I see here is finding someone who will ship out of country.
For the bolt head I would look at PTG (Pacific Tool & Gauge).

I got a steel trigger guard & follower from Midway.

The follower, a single shot Score-High, didn't fit even with the spacer in the mag well removed.

On the same rifle, I did a conversion to 6.5x55
