Want load info!!! 2 balls in 12 ga 2 3/4" chamber

I was looking at "Round balls in a 12 gauge?" where longbow said to use 2 round balls with a diameter of .600". I have only loaded black powder with 7 1/2 or 8 shot for SASS or black powder and buck and ball. I would like to know how to do the 2 diameter .600" balls as it sounds better than slugs or buck and ball for a walking around close load.

    warren5421,
Yes, I've been having similar thoughts. I'm thinking2 balls in a 1-1/4 oz wad like a Federal 12S4 over 28-30 grains of Blue Dot with some buffer.

I got to get back to this one too!

My results were mediocre but I had wad failure using CSD wads.

If it works for BT I'll try it! I got to get an order in to BPI for supplies so I'll be adding these items.

What was your powder charge BT?

That wad looks more like a CLBC steel shot wad!

I fairly sure that is a CLBC wad pictured. I've never used them, but use the LBC 43 and 50. It does not look like an MG42 wad pictured on BPI website.

Ah yes! It is a CLBC wad. I didn’t check till now which pic I posted. I loaded some with the Mg42 wad and got confused. My bad!

I can't find X12X Symmetrical Gas Seal 12ga Dimensions: .727" x .258" in stock on line or locial. Is there another Gas Seal that would work as good? Doing smokeless is out of my knowledge though I have several loading manuals for shotgun. I know next to nothing about the componiets needed for smokeless. For SASS it was black powder, fiber wad, shot, over shot card, and roll crimp or use supper glue to hold over shot wad in in brass.
