Twist rate for 1873 Winchester using 200 grain bullet

Relining a 4 digit '73 and my options are one in 18" and one in 24". Which is best suited for a 200 grain lead bullet? Using black powder of course.

Original black powder barrels were one turn in 38 inches. Most of the Italian repros today are the same. If relining I would also suggest the 1 in 24 which will enable you to use heavier bullets with accuracy. Accurate 43-230E is a good choice, a heavier version of the well-proven John Kort design 43-215C.
