Anyone have the dimensions for the cutter and former? We have a friend that is a machinist and want him to make a couple. I think I have seen them online but did not save it.

However, I would be very interested in a version that mounts in a reloading press and/or one that makes musket caps.
Thundermaker I have been wanting to thread the 22 reloader cap maker for use on a reloading press. Make it like the Forrester Auto cap. That made percussion caps on a regular reloading press. Very fast too .I'm slow and could easily make bet. 600 and 800 per hour. I don't have the 22 reloader cap maker but would do the mod for someone else. If anyone is interested let me know. I would do the first one free just to get started. A musket cap maker has been made and has been presented here.

I have been using the cup part of shotgun primers as caps and loading them with the primer mix used in the 22lr loading kit.
you might try getting a hold of "mannyca" he made some nice copies of the tapocap and might have the dimensions

I think I read Manny stopped selling these 2 years ago or so.
yes he did but hes not dead and might provide the dimensions, thats what you wanted right.

I bought one a few years ago with the 3 chemicals used to make the new caps go bang. Darned if they didn't work and the only issue I had was the powder would fall out after some time being bounced around in the little wooden box I use for percussion caps and the black powder flasks. I used some alcohol like I did originally to put the mixture back in and they were fine. There was a very tiny measure that came with the setup and it got the right amount.

I made some scoops out of large and small primer cups. Puts in the perfect amount of primer mix.
I made a scoop from a pistol primer and a paper clip handle. Been adding a bit of 4f under the paper cap using a Tap-O-Cap. I haven’t tried them out yet. Paper caps alone didn’t work.
Would like to know more about the chemicals for old primer mix.

The chemicals are potassium chlorate, sulfur, and antimony sulfide. See FH-42 in this list - H-48 is similar, except it also includes ground glass -

Binder of your choice - some people use shellac, some people use nitrocellulose glue - or you can compress the mixture into a solid pellet inside the cap hull.
