    Barrel ream to smoothie?

I have heard there is a gentleman that can ream a mz barrel to a smoothie

Just picked up a 50 I'd like to make a .54 smoothie for hunting on the LBJ grasslands next season (changing rules to be nothing rifled)

Would one of you guys mind shooting me his contact info?

I have had Bobby Hoyt redo a number of barrels for me including an old 8 gauge and have found his work impeccable.
Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway!

Good luck in getting him to answer??? I usually just send the barrel to him with a deposit, usually $100, and he returns it when done with a bill for the balance...Ed

Ha that's a good plan....no haven't heard back yet but I'm in no overly crazy rush

Do you remember rough order of magnitude for pricing?

He is a very busy man. Try to catch him around noonish. Unless I absolutely have to talk to him, I usually just include a note along with the barrel as to what needs done. "Usually" a quick turn around.

I had Hoyt make a 58 out of a 54 in line i had. I wanted a smooth bore for a shot gun. Works great shot lots of snow shew hares with it. Shipping was more than the bore job. I would do it again with a flint lock if i can find one to do it to.
Dont pee down my back and tell me its raining.
