    Which neo expander

I am new to casting and ordering a couple of arsenal molds for 300bkl and 9mm
My question is, if I am going .310 for blk
    And .358 for 9mm
Which expanders from NOE would be best to get to flare the neck of the case for the cast boolet?

You will want one that has the smaller step just below bullet diameter and the larger step should be .001-.002 over bullet diameter.

2-3 thous under bullet dia but as cheap as they are, get a range like 354,5,6 and 306,7,8. Depending on alloy, the bullets may come out larger than the push through sizer marking. Step size doesn't matter, they are OK and will be removed by crimp die. Bullet size, "case neck thickness" and expander size will determine what expander you need. Unfortunately, NOE doesn't mark the expanders size, got to mic them.
    Whatever!

Popper, all of my NOE expanders are marked on the base... Or at least I think they are... will have to look now. I know they do mic pretty close to expected diameters.

You are correct; they are marked on the bottom.

It would be nice if BOTH diameters were marked on the bottom. At least, for those who have a bunch of them.

Which leads me to think I should find a small compartmented box, like for fishing tackle to keep them in. Then I could do just that: mark both diameters on each expander's compartment.

So get the big first number like 311 or 312
And smaller number 308 or 308
    For 300blk
    And 9mm
    359 or 360
And second number 356 or 357.

Ok I think I got it now
    .310 cast (312x308 expander)
    .358 cast (360x356 expander)
