    Ural Driver,

Thank for passing on the information. I was looking for a replacement and your note helped me find one.

I want to pull the trigger on the RCBS Pro Melt 2, but I'm not hearing good things about that unit.

I should have snagged a 1st gen Pro Melt.

I'm not hearing good things about the replacement thermostats for the original Pro Melt. I may call them today and see if the new thermostats are Mercury based like the old ones. There were a few complaints about them not lasting. I ordered a Pro Melt 2 back when Brownells had a sale, then it went out of production and took 6 months to get. In the meantime I bought a severely used original Pro Melt and rebuilt it. I found negative posts about the replacement thermostats so I used a PID. I was never satisfied with the Inkbird PID, I had an Auber on my Lee pots. I still need to finish the original Pro Melt and would not mind a thermostat if reliable ones are available but I think the sun has set on that one.
