    Need advice on ML

A guy wants to trade me a unfired Lyman 50 left hand Flint Lock of plains rifle type. Is suppose to be from 1980s. What would something like that be worth. I don’t want the gun but am willing to take it on trade if it’s not ridiculously priced. I can’t find any Lyman MLS on GB or such of this model.

A new Lyman great plains out the door is now 700$+

For a trade depending on the trade, 300-400$ is a good price.

    That is around now days.

Good luck guys with the way things are going you would think a Great plains rifle was an AR15 the prices are way up. I just got a 54 great plains rifle on gun broker used but mint condition for $600.00 really nice gun. I chased a lot of rifles on the auction but the prices got stupid high. There is not a lot to a black powder gun but any thing gun right now is really inflated. Its hard to find flints right now too. I see great plains rifles on gun broker for buy now for $750.00 used which is a lot but there are gun scalpers out there. Hang on to what you got and if a good deal comes around jump on it or some one else will.
