    LeMatt Grapeshot Revolver loads

I have a pair of reproduction LeMatt's and would like to know if anyone cast for the shotgun barrel. I have been using a buck and ball of .62" round ball with 3 round balls of .32" with 35 gr FFFg Black. 9 rounds of .44 and 1 round of about 20 ga shotgun makes for a fun time at the range. It also makes the SASS shooters look when you place one on the loading table.

Many years ago, i had a friend who "just had to have" a LeMatt when they first started making the reproductions. An interesting revolver for sure and IIRC, Jeb Stuart carried one. One time, a bunch of us tried it out and I'm glad I can say that I shot one - but we never tried the shotgun barrel out.

That said - I admire any fellow who can tote two of them around much less one! Have fun with them - that's what it's all about!
