I talked to one guy who said it was a gimmick to make you spend more for HP molds. I'd like to hear what you all have to say since I'm looking at two more molds. I'd like to have the ability to use these as SD rounds just in case SD ammo is still $100 for a box of 50. Thanks!
I think its well worth the extra money. When you look at the amount of machining and engineering for HPs, I'm surprised they aren't even more expensive. I have a couple, one a GB from NOE, a 430 grain .45 ACP that performs well, push it up to the mid 800fps. With COWW, I shot 1 at 4 milk jugs full of water, thru and thru 3, stopped in the 4th. Meplat opened from .325 to .499. Nice.
