    Long barreled pistol

Saw this on the Brownells news letter.
    They put a 10/22 barrel on a Mark 1.
    Looks kind of cool.

I'm not sure how easy it would be to draw from a holster,
but if nothing else, that long sight radius should help most folks with their accuracy.

Well at the very least I'm thinking a low cut from drop down leg holster.
I believe I would just carry a rifle.

I have a 16'' Heritage 22 revolver. It's a lot of fun to shoot. And is an attention getter when others are around.

I think it was made for the Silhouette crowd.

Oops, missed the part about a 10/22 barrel. I was thinking of the 10" barreled 22 pistol

You could cut it down to 5.5 inches and make a nice pistol

I know a guy that is in the process of fitting a 10/22 barrel to a single six. I can’t remember exactly how long he was going to keep the barrel, but he says his kids love to shoot the long barreled guns.
Due to the price of primers, warning shots will no longer be given!

I've got a Ruger MK II with a 10" barrel, two Buckmark's with 10" barrels one of each model, and a 12" H&R that was my dad's.

I'd like to get my hands on one of the 14" Buckmark's but they are going for more than a house payment.

I'd get one of those 16" Heritage revolvers if they were built a bit better. I'll settle for one of the 9" Single Six's.

'Super' Buntline special? How about the German anti-tank rifle. Shouldered by one and shot by the other.
    Whatever!

An old saying comes to mind .... " Too much of a good thing . "

Just because you can put an 18 " 10/22 barrel on a Ruger MKI ... that doesn't make it a good idea , just something to look at and wonder ... In heavens name ...WHY ???

Having shot more than a few stock 10-22's, my question is why didn't the builder use a barrel with better chance at being accurate?

As a range toy, it could be fun, but I think it would be very awkward to carry afield after small game.

One of the sweetest little carbines I've ever seen was a factory (I think) work up based on a buckmark frame. It had a 16 inch carbon fiber wrapped barrel, and barely weighed anything. If it shot anywhere near like it looked and handled, it would be a dream. Sadly, it was the only one I ever saw like it.

I've often wondered why carbine kits haven't been offered for the Ruger pistols. It would make a great, handy little rifle.

They probably wanted to " keep it all Ruger".
But you make a good point.
