So far 2021 has started off better than 2020 ended. When my stimulus check hit the bank I decided to put new tires on the wife's minivan at a local independent shop. He asked how I was and I said I wanted to make some bullets today. That got his attention and after the job was done he offered to let me have a 5 gallon bucket of wheel weights for 20 bucks. I took him up on it of course, he said a friend had gotten a 5 gallon bucket from him a while back for 20, culled the steel and zinc and kept the lead. He then sold the steel and zinc at a scrap yard for 35 bucks. I ended up getting about 80 pounds of lead WW's and I'll sell the rest to offset, if I can get $35 for it I get paid $15 for separating the WW's. I have about 50 pounds out back waiting to be melted into ingots, so now I have about 130 pounds to put into ingots. Excellent score, plus my powder coat from smoke arrived today.
