    35 Remington seating dies

Trying to load some 357 bullets for 35 Rem and cant get them to seat deep enough with my Lee seating die. Is there a diferent die or stem to use for pistol bullets in the 35 Rem.? Thanx!!!

If you remove the adjustment screw and drop the nose punch out you'll find a lot of empty space inside it. You could probably drop a ball bearing or something in there to work as a spacer, reassemble the die. This will keep the seating punch from floating all the way up as the cartridge enters the die.

On second thought, with everything screwed all the way down there might not be any movement regardless. If a different plug isn't available you could order another one and modify it.

The plug on mine has a cavity, like it would have for seating pointed bullets. If you're loading semi-wadcutters the nose my be able to get inside that cavity. Simple fix for that would be to fill it with glue. I don't know how much it would help. If it was mine I'd drill through and tap it out, then put a screw in there. That would solve the length problem.
