    PC and supressors?

Any build up on internals with PC boolits? I would think not, but a buddy of mine got into a debate/discussion on the subject...

    Howdy ho neighbor!

I have debated this subject and have decided to refrain until either I have a user serviceable suppressor to try it with or until I can see solid proof one way or the other. I tend to agree that it should be fine but I would really hate to be wrong!

Others who have done it reported no issues.

I have wondered this myself I have several cans but no “painted” boolits to test the theory. Just learning of the options of painting etc for cast boolits as I have been out of casting for awhile and just now getting back to it. Spent the last few years moving around and no time or place to do it till I finally settled back down.

I’ve been looking at a few options, .221 Fireball, .223, 30-06, 6.8 SPC, 35 Remington, and soon a surpressed.444 for options. It would be interesting to see if there are any problems or if it goes off without any difficulty

357 Max both Super and Subsonic, 9MM Super and Subsonic, 458 SOCOM Super and Subsonic; all coated and never any buildup when I clean the suppressors.

    PC isnt this mystical thing!!

Its a jacket. It encapsulated the cast lead bullet making it "safer". Many consider it a "lube" because cast bullet need lube in there heads. Well a jacketed bullet is also lead... with a copper coating!

Dont over think this. Its fine. Now a GC thru a can is anotger thing to my mind many do it many wont.

Several thousand through my 300 blackout, also, lots of 9mm through them also, no build up. People keep forgetting these are jacketed bullets.

now Im not one for overcleaning, but it doesn't really matter if the silencer can be taken down or not if you use the "dip" formula to clean, but this cant be used with aluminum components.
