Rcbs and lyman lubesizer for minnies qustion

i recently purchased a 58 cal musket and need to size minnie balls.I ordered a .577 Lyman Style custom sizing die. I have a RCBS Lubesizer and this die is suppose to work in my RCBS but it does not have a hole small enough in the bottom for the plunger in die to go down into. Are the Lyman and RCBS inter-changable? I have Lyman and RCBS sizer dies that I use with no problem but this size will not work. Can someone with experience with this tell me if the lyman is different in any way that would prevent this from happening?

I’ve always heard that RCBS and Lyman size dies and top punches were interchangeable. I have a Lyman 4500, want me to measure the opening beneath the plunger?

    Hello Guys,

I misread your post, I have an old Lyman 450 and after measuring the casting,
it looks like the largest bullet diameter would be 0.600" diameter.
I did made one off this drawing.
