    8mm Lebel

What can be made out of 8MM Lebel that has neck splits?????
Have a bunch with splits. Some longer than others.
Just wondering what I might be able to reform them to.

If they haven’t split all the way to the shoulder they can be converted to .41 Swiss.

Lebel brass is what I use for 41 Swiss.

I had a Hopkins & Allen falling block shotgun that had a take down barrel and I took a 50 cal. muzzloader barrel and turned the shank to fit the shotgun frame. I took some old 8 mm Lebel brass and cut them down to about 1 1/8” long and expanded the neck for a .512 dia boolit and made a 50 cal. Cartridge for it.
I shot it with no extractor for a while and it shot good with light loads of unique.
It makes a nice 50 cal. cartridge but the case needs inside reamed as they are very thick below the shoulder.
